Service is what our business is all about. We service automatic doors in the greater Melbourne metropolitan area. We service all brands of automatic door unit, Dorma, (BWN), Access entry, Besam and a multitude of smaller brands.

We provide prompt, cost effective service 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Normal business hours are 8.00 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday. After hours callouts, including weekend and public holidays are charged at a higher rate than normal. For a cost estimate please contact us. Service contracts

As well as our renowned breakdown service we can offer three types of service contract:

1. Preventative maintenance contract, under this contract we attend to the automatic door 3 times a year to check the operation and ensure that all safety and emergency exit features of the door are fully operation. This is required under Australian Standard As5007. A full service report is filled out and issued to the client. Any parts that are required to be changed are charged for after consultation with the client. This contract is popular with clients wishing to cover their OH&S and public liability commitments.
2. Full comprehensive Service contract. Under this contract we not only do the three maintenance checks but also cover the cost of all replacement parts and all labour (during normal working hours) for any breakdown calls during the year. Damage done due to fire, theft, flood, storm, pest, misuse and vandalism is not covered. This contract has one set fee for the year and enables our clients to control their maintenance costs.
3. Labour only contract. Under this contract we supply only breakdown labour as needed for a period of one year. This contact is used for older automatic doors where the manufacturer is no longer in business and so the parts are no longer available. This contract gives the client a more cost effective way of servicing their older automatic door unit.

Our customer’s best interests are paramount and we treat them with the same respect as we would a member of our family. We have maintained long relationships with the vast majority of our customers such as The Alfred Hospital group, Queen Victoria Market, Jones Lang La Salle and Sigma. We also have many smaller clients with chemist’s shops, jewelers, Video shops, Bottle shops and furniture retailers but a small sample. Whether big or small all of our customers get prompt, efficient and cost effective service. We provide service 365 days a year, 24 hours a day on an after hours callout basis. We service automatic doors in the greater Melbourne area which ranges from Geelong, Sunbury, Seymour, Yarra Glen, Lilydale, Warragul, Lang Lang, Hastings and Sorrento as well as all points in between!

Philip Irons: As a director of the business Phil always has a keen eye on the day to day running of the business as well as servicing the automatic doors for the customers. As he still works daily in the service role the focus of the business is always maintained on providing our customers with prompt service as per our mission statement. Phil started servicing automatic doors for BWN Industries over 40 years ago. This company was also a family owned Australian business that built its way up from a small factory in Dandenong to the Number one manufacturer of automatic doors in Australia. They had expanded overseas with factories in New Zealand and Los Angeles. Phil was pivotal in this expansion in not only helping to develop major project such as Riyadh International Airport, Changi Airport and High Court Canberra but in also training service personnel for service agents around Australia and overseas. Phil was employed as contractor and was recognized as their best serviceman by far. After the business was sold in the early nineties to Dorma Phil took up a business opportunity and founded ADR Automatic Doors. Phil focused all his skill and talent into making this business a success. That was over twenty years ago now, the company and Phil is still going strong and looking forward to expanding our customer base and giving that same great service to even more clients.
